One of the historical producers in Montefalco Umbria is always a confirmation that best wines come from best vineyards. While not certified Mario Napolini is working organic and with minimal use of technology. Tradition is a must at Napolini.

Montefalco Rosso is made of Sangiovese (60%), Sagrantino (15%), Ciliegiolo (10%) and a touch of Montepulciano (8%) and Merlot (7%) . The mix is a blend field, meaning the different varieties coexist in the vineyard. Harvest at the end of September. After a the bunches partially destalked are left macerating for 2 / three weeks until starting of the fermentation is ensured. Then wine is moved in casks 35HL (in short big ones) where malo-lactic naturally happens as well as the ageing. After one year in casks wine is bottled. 6 months fining in the bottle before release.

Blackberries cherries and spicy currants this is a very versatile wine to taste.
